The Launch Report Zone

Hi all,

Before you think it, yes this report starts off exactly the same as the last report from Brook Farm, because it happened again.

When I turn up for this session I thought I had got the date wrong. I was late arriving because I first went up to the retail park in Tamworth to get an some bits for my air compressor. Well I arrived but I could not see anyone. I went all the way down the track to the far side and still could not see anyone. Alan then turned up and we both looked around. We could not see anyone. Then we heard a launch and then we got the bearings to the range and off we went. They were in the next field behand the hedgerow (hence we could not see them).

Anyway we got set up and started to prep things up. The sun was great and there was a stiff breeze. I soon had my new "Big Paddy" prepped and ready to fly on a D15-5. This was the first flight and she flew great and the piston ejection system worked a treat. Will "chad" up next time.

Everyone else was launching and having a great time. I liked Pete's monocopter, in fact the next BK session here at Brook Farm in October is going to be monocopter day (Detail to be published soon!!).

There was a small shower at 3pm and everyone started to pack up quickly and most people left. Those of us that stayed behind had a good chat about rocketry and things we would like to see the club doing (monocopter day was one of them)

Thanks goes out to Apo11o, Rockets & Things and Congreve Rockets for turning up and supporting us.

Sean
