The Launch Report Zone

Hi all,

A small turnout but usual crowd crowd turned out for today's launch session.

It was nice weather (clear skies and a light breeze, though a touch on the cold side).

We got loads of launches in with several static firings, including a D12-5 (wow!!!!) that Mel did for us all.

I launched my prowler a couple of times with it newly re-united parachute (read last month's report).

Thanks goes out to Pete for bringing the shop along, Malcolm for bringing the shop along, Alan for bringing the shop along,Paul for bringing the shop along and Mark for bringing along buster.

Sean

Buster and I turned up rather late on Sunday to find the range already in operation. The morning and
early afternoon were very pleasant with Blue skies and little wind, we had cloud and a couple of light
showers late on!

A small turnout only 9 flyers but quite a few flights (folks - please remember to hand your flight reg.
Sheets in at the end of the day or if necessary e-mail the flight details to me from home). The most
memorable flight of the day has to have been Alan Meredith's Graduator taking off with only one D
motor lit. After an attempt at skywriting the Graduator hit the ground with a loud crump, but was
soon up prepped again and flying once more. See the gallery for photo's. Congreve static fired an
I440 single use and a reloadable H motor as part of a demo of their new igniters (again see gallery
for photo's)

Great vendor turn out (See photo's)
Apo11o - Alan Meredith brought his newly acquired business over! Congreve - Were out in force with
Paul, Sid and Daniel in attendance! Pete's Rockets - Pete arrived just after me. Rockets and Things
- Malcolm brought along the shop and a radio controlled model tank, which was rather entertaining.
Despite a No of suggestions we did not come up with an anti tank rocket in the time available!

Thanks to all the vendors for supporting us on Sunday and of course all through the year - much
appreciated!

Thanks also to Mel Sharpe, Ray Hancox, Dave Beeton and Sean Arrowsmith for taking turns at
RSO'ing during the day and of course Alan Meredith for providing hot drinks.

All told a pleasant days flying!

See you next year

Mark
