The weather was warm but with a stiff breeze that kept changing directions.

A small crowd today, but still we got up a lot of rockets. I put up my Cloud Puncher twice, but the second flight damaged the motor mount, so that is now dead. My son Tom put up his yankee on a b6-4 and my other son Charlie put up his Polaris on a B6-4 as well.

Congreve Motors was there as usual and put on another static motor show, this time a 38mm I440 Single Use. Congreve have also said that they will be at Milson next month!!! so well have some good AP flights that day.

Ray's Polaris went up on a Pro38 1 grain, and came back down and lawn darted. Sorry Ray, but it did sound good as it whistled in and then buried itself into the potato plants.

Mel lost 2 fins of his AMRAAM after the shock cord separated.

Mark launched a multitude of saucers.

Sean

Another sunny days flying for the Black Knights.

The turn out was low but this does have an upside, as all our regular RSO's were in attendance so we took turns as RSO and all got some flying in. Our host and his family came along in the afternoon and his son Andrew flew his rocket twice (happy lad!).

Viewers of this site may have noticed that when I am acting as RSO or LCO there are a lot of photo's. Well unfortunately for you I was flying, as well, so not many photo's this time.

Thanks to the RSO's

Mike Lynock for putting out the direction signs.

Ray Hancox for collecting the flying fees.

Last but not least Congreve Rockets for there support and static firing of an I motor which was enjoyed by us all.

Mark

It was a nice warm day with a strong breeze. We started the day with the usual greetings chatting, I laid my table out while Mark P and Sean A set out the range. By this time some more flyers had turned up with a strong presents of RSO's (five in all) which was very nice as this gave us all a chance to fly a rocket or two.

Congreve Rockets was giving motors away again, which is very useful these days, they also put on a static firing of a ( I ) motor. Very nice, and they said they would be at our next meeting at Milson.

Well as for my big flight of the day was my scratch built Polaris flying on a Pro38- G60, this was her fourth flight on this motor so I had no reason not to see a good launch and flight, she did have a good straight launch with a good altitude and the recovery was very, lets just say I will be rebuilding it!
Mel S came over and said I know what the trouble was! you have riveted the nose cone on! now that's mates for you, but that's what it's like having fun. So come and join the Black Knights have some fun flying your rockets with us for a family day out with a good hobby as well.

Ray  or  Hank.
