The Launch Report Zone

19/05/2002 - Bridley Moor Launch Site

May saw another good turn out at Bridley Moor. Michael Williams and Michael Lynoch turned up early to run the first part of the launch session, thanks guys. Bob Mosely was this months most frequent flyer with seven launches. With Haddon Pratt in second place (I think, as Haddon forgot to hand in his flight reg. cards). Robert Tuby and Ray Hancox were next in line with four launches each. Bob Moseley was determined to fly a large boosted glider, but unfortunately it fell from the launch pad and was damaged. Bob says it will be repaired and will be back. Michael Williams flew his Slightly Miffed (a mod'ed Mean Machine) on a D12-3, the first time we have had a mean Machine launch at Bridley. Haddon had battery problems on his Micro Max set-up which we got round by attaching a car battery, which looked quite amusing as the battery was larger than the pad, controller and the rockets combined. Paul attempted to launch his Starship enterprise, but unfortunately the vehicle stuck on the launch rod, it did however produce a couple of nice photos. Not quite as busy this time so managed to get a few more pictures.
